Cyber Security Engineer – CTF, Reverse Engineering & Anti-bot

About the role

Digital Shelf by NIQ is seeking a highly motivated Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen our anti‑bot and data‑extraction platforms. You will work on cutting‑edge challenges involving reverse engineering, cryptographic analysis and stealthy web scraping while adhering to strict ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze web and mobile applications (APK/IPA) to uncover hidden mechanisms and cryptographic functions.
• Disassemble and reverse‑engineer binaries using tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.
• Evaluate, bypass and improve anti‑bot protections including TLS, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, WebSockets and DoH.
• Develop robust Python scripts and frameworks that automate bypass procedures and adapt security measures in real time.
• Design and implement stealth scraping techniques such as browser patching, headless‑browser evasion, proxy tunneling and human‑behavior emulation.
• Continuously test, disrupt and enhance existing tools to stay ahead of evolving defenses.

Required profile

• Passionate about pushing systems to their limits while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
• Experience in capture‑the‑flag (CTF) competitions or similar security challenges is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Python programming.
• Proficiency with reverse‑engineering tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra).
• Deep knowledge of TLS, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, WebSockets, DoH.
• Experience modifying JavaScript and browser environments for evasion.
• Familiarity with mobile app analysis (APK, IPA).
