Cybersecurity Engineer Intern

About the role

Join LEVEL’s Cybersecurity team as an intern and gain hands‑on experience designing, implementing and improving security controls in a modern airline environment. You will work alongside experienced security professionals on strategic projects that protect critical business services, cloud platforms and operational technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls across enterprise and cloud environments.
• Assist in the design, deployment and operational support of security technologies and services.
• Participate in security assessments, risk analysis and technical reviews of business and third‑party solutions.
• Collaborate on identity and access management, endpoint protection, cloud security, infrastructure security and application security initiatives.
• Help with vulnerability management, remediation tracking and security reporting.
• Contribute to governance activities, technical documentation, standards and procedures.
• Support security automation and process optimisation projects.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering.
• Expected graduation within the next 1–2 years.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Academic projects, Capture The Flag competitions, labs or personal technical projects are a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft security technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune or Microsoft Purview.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Understanding of networking, operating systems and cloud technologies.
