Data Analyst – BI Engineer

About the role

ODILO is looking for a Data Analyst – BI Engineer to strengthen its data‑driven decision making. Reporting to the Chief Client Officer, you will design and maintain business intelligence dashboards, build scalable analytics pipelines, and turn raw data into actionable insights for our global education technology platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, transform, and analyse large data sets to produce clear insights.
• Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools.
• Build, optimise and document ETL/ELT processes in AWS and Google Cloud environments.
• Write efficient, scalable code in SQL and Python.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to define KPIs and ensure analytical consistency.
• Guarantee data integrity, accessibility and governance across projects.
• Support strategic initiatives with data‑driven analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Based in Madrid or nearby, with a semi‑remote (hybrid) work model.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Python for analytics and automation.
• Data‑visualisation tools: Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight, Looker.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines in AWS and/or Google Cloud.
• Practical knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
