Data Center Technician – Cloud Operations

About the role

As a Data Center Technician within Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation, you will learn standard processes for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning data‑center equipment. You will work under the guidance of experienced colleagues and gain exposure to the infrastructure that powers services such as Azure, Office 365, Bing, Xbox and OneDrive.

Key responsibilities

• Track and resolve issues by escalating when needed and seeking guidance from senior technicians.
• Participate in daily safety briefings, complete required safety training, and follow safety procedures for equipment handling, lifting, electrical hazards, and ladder use.
• Complete assigned tickets efficiently, meeting KPIs and Service Level Agreements.
• Follow security and data‑management policies, completing mandatory security training.
• Maintain a client‑focused mindset to understand the impact of work on service reliability.
• Share information and contribute to a positive team environment.
