Data Engineer & Automation Machine Learning Specialist

About the role

Axalta is seeking a Data Engineer & Automation Machine Learning Specialist to work at its Asturias facility. The role bridges data management and engineering, focusing on data quality, system integration between SAP and Salesforce, and building Python‑based analytical models to drive business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Own data cleansing, standardisation and governance for SAP and Salesforce.com.
• Design and implement continuous synchronization processes between the two core systems.
• Establish scalable frameworks for ongoing data‑quality monitoring and remediation.
• Develop Python‑based data models for use cases such as customer performance scoring, automated validation of activation and purchasing behaviour, and correlation analysis of engagement metrics.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data pipelines and logic.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data quality and governance.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Proven ability to work with complex customer data environments (e.g., SaaS, manufacturing, retail, B2B services).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills and autonomous work style.
