Design Engineer (Lifting Platforms)

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to lead the creation of new lifting platforms, from concept through industrialisation. The role combines mechanical, hydraulic and electrical design with rigorous validation and compliance to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop lifting platforms, defining mechanical, hydraulic and electrical specifications.
• Validate concepts using simulation tools and physical testing.
• Ensure all designs meet EN 280, CE and other relevant safety regulations.
• Drive cost optimisation and continuous product improvement.
• Coordinate with production, procurement and quality teams, managing engineering change requests.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and sales teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in industrial product design, preferably with lifting systems.
• Proficiency in English (B2‑C1) and Spanish (C1).
• Knowledge of relevant standards (EN 280, ISO, CE) and experience with hydraulic/electrical system design.

Required skills

• Advanced 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA).
• FEM/FEA analysis for structural simulation and fatigue.
• Hydraulic and electrical system design.
• BOM management and technical documentation.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, machining, assembly).
• DFM/DFA principles.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma fundamentals.
