DevOps Engineer – Hybrid (Madrid)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Thales’ R&D Border Control product team in Madrid. The role is hybrid, combining on‑site collaboration with remote work, and focuses on evolving the software platform that powers border kiosks and e‑gates.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve the deployment infrastructure and automation for the BMS product.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for platform changes and automation processes.
• Build new features for automated provisioning and upgrade of fleets of Border Kiosks and eGates client workstations.
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines built on GitLab.
• Collaborate daily with developers, QA engineers and the Product Owner within an agile engineering team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a DevOps or Platform engineering role.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and hands‑on experience with GitLab pipelines.
• Experience automating deployment and provisioning of large‑scale client workstations.
• Ability to work effectively in an agile, multicultural team.
