DevOps Engineer / SRE (Remote)

About the role

Fundraise Up is looking for a DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer to join a small, high‑impact team responsible for the stability, performance, and security of its on‑premise infrastructure. You will work with bare‑metal servers, virtual machines, databases, queues and networking, ensuring the platform that processes millions of dollars in donations runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot bare‑metal and VM environments.
• Own end‑to‑end automation projects, from design through rollout and ongoing maintenance.
• Monitor and improve infrastructure performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure with the platform’s backend (Node.js, MongoDB) and frontend (Vue.js, React, TypeScript) services.
• Manage high‑throughput messaging systems such as Kafka and background processing with Bull/Redis.
• Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem documentation.

Required profile

• Strong experience with on‑premise infrastructure, including Linux/Unix systems, virtualization, and networking.
• Hands‑on ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, and network issues.
• Passion for automation and building reliable, repeatable processes.
• Comfort working in a distributed, remote team and communicating in English.
