Digital Design Engineer (Graduate) - Automotive Networking

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for a Digital Design Engineer to join its Automotive Networking team in Valencia, Spain. The role suits engineers with solid digital design fundamentals who enjoy working on real products and collaborating across teams. It is a graduate position with about 10% travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architecture and design specifications.
• Architect, design, implement and maintain RTL IP and digital systems using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Optimize designs for performance, power and area (PPA).
• Run and support simulation, synthesis and timing analysis for RTL IP.
• Work with verification engineers to define test strategies and support debug.
• Take part in design and architecture reviews and trade-off decisions.
• Improve workflows, tools and methodologies for IP development and integration.
• Support embedded firmware development, debugging and bring-up where needed.

Required skills

• Verilog and/or SystemVerilog in a digital design environment.
• Programming in one or more languages such as C/C++, Python or TCL.
• Understanding of on-chip communication protocols such as SPI, I2C or UART.
• Early-career exposure to FPGA emulation, Ethernet/networking concepts, design closure, microcontroller subsystems, automotive or safety-critical flows (e.g. ISO 26262) and security/encryption in embedded systems.
