Director, Compensation – EMEA

About the role

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Director of Compensation for the EMEA region to shape pay strategy across multiple countries. Reporting to the Vice President of Compensation, you will partner with HR and business leaders to ensure fair, competitive, and compliant reward practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead EMEA compensation strategy, providing guidance and analysis to regional HR and business partners.
• Own and deliver the Annual Compensation Process for EMEA and global businesses, including data readiness, plan setup, validation, and stakeholder communications.
• Develop and maintain pay range structures, geographic differentials, and specialty strategies in line with global principles.
• Govern compensation changes in Workday, reviewing and approving requests while collaborating on system improvements.
• Act as a global reward partner for one or more business lines, supporting initiatives and maintaining job families within the Global Role Framework.
• Drive insight, compliance, and change by specifying models, advising on regulations, supporting collective bargaining, and providing expertise for M&A transitions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of compensation or total rewards experience in complex, multi‑country organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Multi‑jurisdiction expertise and familiarity with compensation regulations.
