About the role
As Director of Services Business Development for Global Financial Institutions, you will lead end‑to‑end sales of Mastercard Services across strategic financial institutions worldwide, based in Madrid. You will shape the global sales approach, originate complex opportunities and ensure consistent execution across regions while collaborating with Global and Local Account Teams.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the global Services sales strategy aligned with Mastercard’s account priorities.
- Own global Services revenue targets, pipeline health and deal progression.
- Identify, qualify and prioritize high‑value commercial opportunities across regions.
- Originate and lead large, multi‑country Services deals from early shaping to contract closure.
- Structure value propositions that articulate business impact, ROI and differentiation.
- Coordinate pricing, scope and commercial models with internal stakeholders.
- Lead senior‑level commercial conversations with global and regional client executives.
- Navigate complex decision‑making structures and expand relationships into multi‑year partnerships.
- Establish a clear sales and engagement model across global and local teams to accelerate deal execution.
- Ensure clarity on opportunity ownership, roles and revenue attribution and enable cross‑market replication.
Required profile
- Proven enterprise sales leadership experience, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Demonstrated success managing global accounts and multi‑regional sales teams.
- Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence senior executives and navigate complex governance structures.
- Strategic mindset with a track record of driving revenue growth.
