Electrical Layout Designer

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Layout Designer to join our Engineering team in Valencia. You will create technical layouts for facilities, machinery, and electrical systems, supporting new projects across the Volkswagen Group.

Key responsibilities

• Support the layout development process from concept to final approval, ensuring spatial, functional, and technical alignment.
• Design technical concepts and layouts for factories, including buildings, equipment, and welfare facilities.
• Act as the interface between equipment, infrastructure, and external suppliers on layout topics.
• Manage and update layout documentation, technical drawings, revision logs, and installation references.
• Develop electrical designs for LV/MV distribution, grounding, lighting, and power systems, including calculations and risk analysis.
• Review supplier solutions, validate technical compliance, and coordinate corrections with contractors.
• Analyze cost, schedule, and performance impacts and prepare recommendations for project decisions.
• Support interactions with authorities and utility providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, MEP, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical layout design and engineering within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of LV/MV distribution, grounding, lighting, and power system design.
• Ability to produce and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Good analytical skills to assess risks, compliance, and technical feasibility.
