Engineering Controller – Temporary Position

About the role

The successful applicant will join the Engineering Controlling Team (TFAOE) in Getafe. You will be responsible for planning, controlling and steering the Engineering contribution to the Airbus Derivatives (MRTT) projects across the full project life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage program targets through a convergence process and cascade them to the appropriate level of granularity (org area, personnel hours, subcontractor and material costs).
• Secure adherence of actual costs to targets during execution and deliver transparent, high‑quality financial reports at programme level.
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative performance data, highlight discrepancies, risks and opportunities, and propose recovery measures.
• Support workload planning cycles, ensuring consistency across planning cycles, alignment with programme finance and validation of financial affordability.
• Enhance the use of financial tools (CMA, SimpliFi, UP, myWorkload) to improve controlling efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management or equivalent.
• Previous experience in function or project/program controlling, preferably in an engineering environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Proactive, independent working style with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in Spanish and English to negotiation level.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Google Workspace – especially Google Sheets.
• Financial controlling tools such as CMA, SimpliFi, UP.
• Operational toolset myWorkload.
