Engineering Manager – Lead Software Teams in Barcelona

Perk is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 8‑10 software engineers in Barcelona. In this role you will be accountable for delivery and personal development of your team, acting as a servant leader who adapts style to the situation. You will coach and mentor engineers, oversee performance reviews, and champion technical excellence, ensuring the team builds reliable, high‑performance systems that align with product and business goals. Collaboration is key: you will work closely with product managers and the broader tribe to define long‑term strategy, roadmap, and scalable features. The position involves recruiting new talent, shaping processes, and driving AI‑augmented development, leveraging tools such as Notion, Jira, GitHub and Slack that are AI‑connected. You will help the team adopt agentic coding practices and use AI for code review, feature specification and incident analysis. The role requires a strong technical background, hands‑on engineering experience, and proven people‑management skills, including building culture, simplifying complex problems, and reacting quickly to change.
