Engineering Manager – Martech

About the role

Preply is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the MarTech team that builds tools for automated campaigns, content creation at scale, and performance measurement across paid marketing, SEO and AI Search. You will work closely with Marketing, Product and Data to turn strategic goals into reliable, data‑driven platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high‑performing engineering team, fostering ownership, collaboration and technical excellence.
• Set vision and strategy for how technology, data and AI support marketing acquisition and measurement.
• Prioritise high‑impact initiatives with Product, Marketing and Data, translating strategy into realistic delivery plans.
• Provide technical leadership on system design, architecture and trade‑off decisions while maintaining code quality, reliability and security.
• Champion best practices in observability, CI/CD, testing and privacy compliance across the MarTech stack.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering business‑critical platforms.
• Strong background in MarTech, AdTech, growth, tracking/attribution, paid marketing or SEO platforms, or related data‑intensive systems.
• Proven people‑leadership skills: coaching, mentorship and clear communication.
• Ability to make sound technical judgments, guide architectural discussions and balance speed with quality.
• Experience partnering with product, marketing and data stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.

Required skills

• Software engineering expertise (e.g., Python, Django).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Familiarity with data‑driven decision making, A/B testing and analytics.
• Knowledge of AI‑augmented development tools and modern cloud environments.
