Engineering Quality Manager – UAS & EuroDrone

About the role

As Engineering Quality Manager (EQM) for UAS and EuroDrone at Airbus Defence and Space, you will ensure product quality throughout the full engineering lifecycle of unmanned aerial systems and the EuroDrone programme, guaranteeing compliance with aerospace standards and safe, reliable delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as EN 9100, ARP4754, DO‑178C and DO‑254 and with EMAR Part 21/145 certification requirements.
• Plan and execute audits, process‑assurance reviews and quality‑gate assessments, driving preventive quality measures (Right‑First‑Time, APQP, FMEA).
• Monitor requirements traceability, support technical reviews and integrate quality into system, software and hardware development processes.
• Maintain and create process‑assurance documentation (SyPAP, SyPAD, SQAP, HPAP) and prepare audit‑readiness evidence.
• Collaborate with development, systems engineering and test teams, and train the EuroDrone community on quality requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in quality management, preferably in a military aerospace environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards (EN 9100, AQAP 2310) and aerospace development standards (ARP4754A, DO‑178, DO‑330, DO‑254).
• Fluent English (spoken and written); German or Spanish is a plus.
