ERP Demand to Pay (D2P) Domain Architect

About the role

Roche is looking for a senior ERP Demand to Pay (D2P) Domain Architect embedded in its Enterprise Platforms, Infrastructure & Engineering (EPIE) ERP function. The role leads the Solution and System Architecture network for the D2P area, working with embedded architects and other ERP and non-ERP Domain Architects to turn enterprise architecture vision into concrete, compliant technology solutions for Roche's global procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the System and Solution Architecture network in the D2P sub-domains, keeping embedded architects aligned through shared principles and platforms.
• Act as the architectural link between the D2P area and the central Strategy, Portfolio & Governance (SPG) organization, helping turn capability maps, maturity assessments and target-state blueprints into execution roadmaps.
• Provide architectural oversight for large, critical technology programs in procurement, supplier lifecycle management and strategic sourcing (e.g., ASPIRE SAP deployments).
• Lead architecture governance as a member of the ERP Cross Architecture Authority and manage technology guardrails, including security, resilience and GxP compliance.
• Own the development and maintenance of core architecture artifacts for procurement areas, ensure designs meet quality and enterprise standards, and manage technical debt.
• Assess emerging technology trends and vendor developments such as SAP S/4HANA, BTP and GEP.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 7+ years of experience in IT and architecture.
• Deep experience with global ERP strategic sourcing, category management, procurement and contract management, supplier sustainability, risk, quality and compliance, and spend visibility.
• Demonstrated mastery of SAP ERP environments and significant background orchestrating complex ERP architectures across modules.
• Proven track record as a Domain or Lead Solution Architect in a complex, matrixed or federated organization, ideally in a regulated (GxP) industry.
• Ability to orchestrate federated networks of architects and communicate complex concepts clearly.
