Expert Lead Customers & Data Architecture

About the role

ING is looking for an Expert Lead Customers & Data Architecture to join its Customers & Data Architecture team, reporting to the Chief Architect. The team guides the organisation in defining and applying the technology strategy for customers and data, designs architectures and works with Tribe Leads and other tribe members. The role also includes the Enterprise Architect position, ensuring the technology landscape stays coherent with the strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Customers & Data Architecture team, develop its members through knowledge sharing and guidance, and promote the ING culture.
• Ensure team members have the right competencies and skills, and guide engineers, managers and architects with design patterns and best practices.
• Foster the use of standards across the Architecture CoE and analyse market trends to adjust craftsmanship.
• Co-create the technology strategy and reference architecture, and guide the team in designs that meet functional, non-functional, risk and security requirements.
• Define the target state and roadmap with Tribe Leads, minimising technical debt and waste.
• Contribute to roadmap definition, assess the impact of major initiatives early, and combine global and local systems.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in architecture teams.
• 3+ years of managerial experience in an agile organisation.
• Ability to act independently, liaise with line management, senior management, suppliers and others, and solve problems analytically.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
