Facilities Maintenance & Energy Engineer

About the role

Airbus is looking for a Facilities, Maintenance & Energy Management Engineer to join its FMRE team in El Puerto de Santa María. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of the site’s infrastructure while driving sustainability and energy‑efficiency initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead turnkey projects to reduce energy and water consumption and meet divisional sustainability targets.
• Manage and maintain facilities and technical equipment to guarantee 100% business continuity for production.
• Oversee maintenance suppliers and lump‑sum contracts, monitoring KPIs and SLAs for quality, cost and timeliness.
• Maintain ISO 50001 certification, manage the site’s energy inventory and ensure new investments meet high‑efficiency standards.
• Control annual OpEx and CapEx budgets, identifying cost‑optimization opportunities across Spanish sites.
• Drive digital transformation of maintenance processes using CMMS, BMS and energy data tools such as eSight.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Industrial or Aeronautical Engineering (EQF level 7).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, energy management or sustainability within an industrial environment.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience working in multicultural settings and willingness to travel occasionally to other Airbus sites in Spain.

• Energy markets knowledge.
• Use of digital Facility Management tools (CMMS, BMS, eSight).
