Finance Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to ensure accurate, timely, and controlled processing of financial transactions and reporting across the business. The role maintains robust financial records, supports month‑end close, and provides reliable information for management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations, posting payments, receipts and bank transactions.
• Post charter, general office and overhead invoices accurately.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve differences promptly.
• Post accruals, pre‑payments, lease journals, revaluations and required adjustments.
• Reconcile Sales and Cost of Sales accounts.
• Ensure all journals are fully supported and documented.
• Complete month‑end close within agreed deadlines.
• Provide financial analysis and information to management as required.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries.
• Support ad‑hoc regulatory reporting requirements.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and financial controls.
• Experience managing debtors, creditors and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Knowledge of accruals, pre‑payments and revenue recognition.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Part‑qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) is desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
