Finance Closing & Reporting Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Closing & Reporting Specialist to join the Financial Services division of Mercedes‑Benz Group. The role offers exposure to international projects across Europe and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial accounting and reporting for assigned entities.
• Ensure timely and accurate month‑end closing and Group reporting.
• Execute day‑to‑day transactional accounting across banking, intercompany, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, taxes, equity, accruals, provisions, consolidation and legal entity reporting.
• Maintain quality of financial statements through established controls and perform postings, account clearings and period‑end balance reviews.
• Coordinate with market accounting teams to resolve operational and month‑end issues.
• Provide backup support for additional companies as required.
• Analyze financial statement figures before and after submission to Headquarters.
• Create and maintain master data in relevant systems and monitor offshore activities.
• Identify process updates, communicate changes and contribute to documentation.
• Serve as primary contact for problem solving and escalation management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Working knowledge of the IFRS framework.
• Relevant experience in finance, accounting or reporting roles.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or equivalent); additional European languages are a plus.
• Strong communication, customer‑oriented approach and proactive mindset.
• High commitment, accountability, flexibility and resilience.
• Effective stakeholder management and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
