Finance Manager

About the role

Ona Therapeutics is building its finance function in‑house and seeks a Finance Manager to work directly with the CFO. This is the first strategic finance hire, responsible for establishing the company’s financial infrastructure and supporting leadership decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and run day‑to‑day accounting, leading monthly, quarterly and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements under Spanish GAAP and support IFRS reporting.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, SOPs and internal controls.
• Lead annual budgeting, periodic reforecasting and budget‑vs‑actual analysis.
• Provide financial reporting, scenario planning and business insight to the CFO and leadership.
• Manage cash, treasury, banking operations and support fundraising data preparation.
• Lead ERP and finance system implementation, including procurement capabilities.

Required profile

• Hands‑on finance professional with experience in accounting, FP&A and operational finance.
• Proven ability to build processes from the ground up and drive financial discipline.
• Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with clinical and operational teams.
• Motivated to grow into a broader leadership role as the function evolves.
