Financial Analyst – Cost Finance (Temporary)

About the role

The Financial Analyst for the Cost area supports Colgate‑Palmolive’s finance team by ensuring accurate cost‑related financial information, expense variances, inventory, and fixed assets. Reporting to the Cost Coordinator, this temporary position transforms complex data into actionable insights that drive manufacturing cost optimisation and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly financial close for cost‑related accounting, ensuring timely and accurate postings while complying with local regulations.
• Perform deep‑dive balance‑sheet and expense variance analyses (actual vs. budget) to identify root causes and present trend insights to management.
• Manage monthly inventory reconciliations and monitor price and freight variances to minimise financial exposure.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to execute compliance reviews for costs, inventory, and fixed assets.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to provide transparent cost‑driver visibility supporting business priorities and resource optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree completed.
• At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or general accounting, preferably in a multinational or manufacturing environment.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate level of English.
