Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Controlling team in Alicante. This brand‑new position offers the chance to act as a finance business partner for a dedicated business area and to influence the budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing analytical insight and business context.
• Prepare financial analyses, profitability reports and ad‑hoc studies to aid decision‑making.
• Monitor actual performance against budget/forecast, conduct variance analysis and identify risks or opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and Group Finance structures to ensure alignment.
• Ensure financial processes comply with internal policies and improve analysis accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Financial Controller or finance business partner role, preferably within a complex, group‑structured organization.
• Proven ability to work effectively in matrix and cross‑functional environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a willingness to deep‑dive into data and uncover underlying drivers.
• High level of ownership, proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence partnering with senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of CCH Tagetik (strong advantage).
• Understanding of IFRS principles (plus).
