Financial Controller

About the role

INSUD PHARMA is seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial performance management for its Generics business across Northern Europe. Based in Madrid, you will report to the FP&A Manager and work closely with regional stakeholders to ensure accurate planning, reporting, and insight generation.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate the regional planning cycle, including budgeting, forecast updates, and long‑range planning where applicable.
• Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting packs (P&L, OPEX, KPIs) with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and clarity.
• Conduct variance analysis versus budget, forecast and prior year, identifying drivers and recommending actions.
• Act as a finance business partner for Northern Europe, supporting performance reviews and commercial initiatives.
• Support month‑end closing from a controlling perspective, ensuring robust accruals and correct performance recognition.
• Maintain and enhance financial models, dashboards and reporting automation using SAP, SAP BPC and Power BI.
• Ensure consistent application of internal controlling standards and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Provide ad‑hoc analyses such as profitability, cost efficiency and scenario modelling as required by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Big 4 firm and/or the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in generic pharma.
• Strong controlling/FP&A background with solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional fluency in English; knowledge of Nordic languages is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management, attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
