Freight Forwarding Internship in Madrid

About the role

Join Samsung SDS Global SCL Spain as a Freight Forwarding Intern in Madrid. You will rotate through key logistics functions, supporting import/export operations, customs handling, and customer service while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑growing technology‑driven supply chain environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage import, export and customs documentation for customer shipments.
• Contact logistics service providers (LSPs) to resolve daily incidents and respond to customer inquiries.
• Prepare transport quotations for shipments across the EU.
• Support the Business Development team with customer portfolio activities.
• Generate and process invoice documents.
• Identify planning bottlenecks, propose improvements and test planning system updates.
• Place and monitor transport orders, reacting promptly to any deviations.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• Currently studying Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• High motivation, flexibility and a problem‑solving mindset.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday, 9:00‑18:00.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
