General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Scopely is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its expanding Accounting Finance team in Barcelona. The role supports day‑to‑day accounting operations while driving continuous improvement across processes. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with studios and shared‑service teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Record general ledger entries in line with local and group accounting policies.
• Assist with month‑end close, including general ledger reconciliations and timely reporting.
• Post and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Maintain the fixed assets register, process asset postings and calculate monthly depreciation.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable on reconciliations and discrepancy resolution.
• Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver financial and accounting insights.
• Contribute to process‑improvement and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting.
• Background in international, multi‑entity environments.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly analytical, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on shared goals.
• Experience in fast‑paced, tech‑driven or shared‑service accounting settings is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle ERP experience is a strong plus.
