Global Legal Associate

About the role

RemoFirst is seeking a Global Legal Associate to support its fast‑growing global HR platform. The role will manage corporate, commercial and compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring smooth product delivery and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate annual corporate obligations such as filings, franchise taxes, business licences and corporate secretarial requirements.
• Draft, review, negotiate and oversee execution of commercial agreements including NDAs, service agreements, reseller and vendor contracts.
• Support international expansion by liaising with local counsel, corporate service providers and internal teams on regulatory, operational and employment issues.
• Assist with immigration, visa and global mobility processes for cross‑border workforce arrangements.
• Conduct multi‑jurisdictional legal and regulatory research related to employment models, EOR/PEO services, licensing and corporate governance.
• Handle employment‑related matters such as terminations, settlements, compliance reviews and escalation management.
• Maintain and improve internal legal trackers, contract repositories and document‑management systems.
• Contribute to process optimisation, workflow automation and knowledge‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or Legal Studies.
• 3–5 years of experience in corporate, commercial or compliance law, either in‑house or at a law firm.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, contracts and employment law.
• Experience with EOR/PEO models is a plus.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across jurisdictions.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are advantageous.
