Global Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist

About the role

Fever, a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for a Global Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join its HR team in Madrid. The role goes beyond traditional payroll: it links the HR team with external payroll providers and covers payroll, benefits and other HR functions on an international scale.

Key responsibilities

• Keep countries compliant, propose improvements and act as a reference for employees and colleagues.
• Manage payroll end to end for a portfolio of countries, following up with external providers and resolving day-to-day issues autonomously.
• Ensure accurate, compliant payments, monitoring tax and social security changes and applying them on time.
• Analyse salary costs and payroll data to spot risks, trends and savings opportunities, and propose recommendations.
• Be the go-to person for complex payroll, tax and social security queries from employees.
• Partner with HR, Finance and Tax teams to anticipate and solve payroll issues.
• Manage benefits administration, benchmark the market and prepare proposals for new benefits.
• Identify improvement opportunities, propose solutions and implement them within your scope.

Required profile

• 5+ years in payroll and benefits, with hands-on experience in multi-country payroll through external providers or EOR.
• Fluent English (C1 or higher); additional languages are a strong asset.
• Sound judgment, the ability to manage several countries at once and the confidence to challenge providers with data.
• Self-driven, proactive and able to bring solutions rather than questions.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
• Knowledge of Personio is an advantage.
