Growth and Sales Director, Environment & Health

About the role

Ramboll is looking for a commercially driven and technically accomplished professional to lead and grow its Site Solutions department across Spain and the wider Iberian market. The role suits someone with extensive experience in contaminated land, site remediation, soil and groundwater assessment, environmental due diligence and brownfield redevelopment. You will build client relationships, drive business growth and deliver innovative site investigation and remediation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for Site Solutions services, develop strategic client relationships, build a sustainable sales pipeline, ensure high-quality project delivery and grow team capability to meet business growth targets.
• Lead and deliver complex contaminated land, remediation, soil and groundwater assessment, environmental due diligence and site redevelopment projects across multiple sectors.
• Provide technical leadership on remediation technologies, risk-based corrective action, sustainable remediation and regulatory developments.
• Oversee project delivery with a focus on client satisfaction, technical excellence, quality assurance, commercial performance and long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with Ramboll's experts in Environment & Health, Water, Energy, Planning and Sustainability to deliver integrated site development solutions.
• Drive innovation in remediation strategies, nature-based solutions, brownfield regeneration and sustainable land management.
• Represent Ramboll externally through industry involvement, conference presentations, technical publications and thought leadership.

Required profile

• BSc or preferably MSc in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in contaminated land management, remediation, soil and groundwater investigations, environmental compliance and site redevelopment.
• Track record delivering projects for industrial, manufacturing, chemicals, energy, infrastructure, mining, real estate or public-sector clients.
• Experience developing remediation strategies, managing complex environmental liabilities and supporting brownfield redevelopment.
• Understanding of Spanish and European environmental regulations on contaminated land, groundwater protection, waste management and environmental permitting.
• Proven business development success, including major client relationships and profitable growth.
• Technical leadership and industry recognition in contaminated land and remediation consulting.
• Proposal development, project management and technical reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Spanish and English at C1/C2 level; Portuguese is an advantage.
