Head of Finance – Spain

About the role

Sanoptis, a leading network of modern eye clinics across Europe, is expanding rapidly in Spain. The company seeks a Head of Finance for Spain to take full ownership of financial reporting, planning and treasury in a fast‑growing, lean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver monthly and annual financial statements on time, complying with Spanish standards and Sanoptis Group principles.
• Onboard new entities, aligning processes and internal controls with group standards.
• Analyse results, highlight deviations and propose corrective actions to improve operational performance.
• Produce accurate bottom‑up business forecasts that support the company’s strategic targets.
• Utilise AI tools such as Claude to automate reporting, forecasting and analytical tasks, and collaborate with Group Finance on new system adoption.
• Manage treasury and liquidity across Spanish entities, forecasting cash needs and working closely with the Group Treasury team.
• Build and maintain relationships with external accountants, banks, share‑holding doctors and local operational teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in Controlling or FP&A.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to translate data into clear business insights.
• Excellent communication skills and experience managing external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI‑driven tools, specifically Claude.
• Advanced financial reporting and forecasting capabilities.
• Experience in treasury management and cash‑flow optimisation.
