Head of Sales (Madrid)

About the role

Kleo is redefining how businesses access financing across Europe. As Head of Sales in Madrid, you will own the commercial engine, shaping strategy and execution to turn a promising funnel into a repeatable, scalable growth machine.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the sales strategy, set targets and be accountable for achieving them.
• Design the end‑to‑end sales process, lead qualification, prioritisation and conversion, while refining the ideal customer profile with Marketing.
• Create sales playbooks and processes that enable repeatable growth with each new hire.
• Lead partnership strategy with gestorías, referrers and ecosystem partners, driving indirect sales motions.
• Provide direction, methodology and standards to a small, hungry commercial team and scale it.
• Prepare the commercial function for upcoming challenges and expansion into international markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience building a sales function from the ground up in a startup or scale‑up.
• Player‑coach mindset: capable of designing strategy and rolling up sleeves to execute.
• Strong consultative B2B sales experience with senior stakeholders such as CEOs and CFOs.
• Background in fintech or the broader financial sector, fluent in the language of financial products.
• Data‑driven decision making using forecasts, pipeline and conversion metrics.
• Native or fluent Spanish and high‑level English.
