Host/Hostess for Private Club and Restaurant

About the role

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for members, guests and staff at Soho House’s private club and restaurant. You will greet visitors, manage phone inquiries, and create reservations, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests by name and provide a warm, hospitable reception.
• Answer high‑volume phone lines, providing accurate information on menus, operating hours, amenities, and pricing.
• Create and manage reservations for the club, restaurant, roof terrace and cinema using the reservation system.
• Assist F&B managers on the floor to maintain service standards and ensure tables are ready for guests.
• Build relationships with members and guests, relay feedback and any issues to management.
• Maintain a positive, approachable atmosphere and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling high‑volume phone calls and guest inquiries.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, articulate and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Required skills

• Experience with OpenTable reservation system (plus).
• Experience with MICROS POS system (plus).
