About the role

This position is a high‑ownership, builder‑style role responsible for establishing the full people infrastructure of a fast‑scaling, remote‑first organization based in Spain. The HR Manager will lead end‑to‑end lifecycle HR while also owning the complete recruiting function for both business and technical positions, including engineering and AI/ML roles.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement and manage the employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, performance management and employee experience.
  • Build and maintain HR policies, documentation and compliance frameworks for a global remote workforce.
  • Coordinate international payroll, contractor agreements and employment compliance across multiple regions.
  • Establish performance management systems aligned with measurable outcomes and business objectives.
  • Serve as primary HR point of contact for employee relations and people‑operations support.
  • Partner with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning and compensation strategy.
  • Own full‑cycle recruitment for all roles, sourcing and evaluating technical talent without external agencies.
  • Design structured interview processes, scorecards and hiring workflows.
  • Manage and optimise the recruiting pipeline using ATS tools such as Greenhouse.

Required profile

  • Proven experience building HR and people‑operations functions in early‑stage or high‑growth startups.
  • Strong background in lifecycle HR, including onboarding, performance management, compliance and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated success in full‑cycle recruiting for both non‑technical and technical roles (engineering, AI/ML preferred).
  • Hands‑on experience with Greenhouse or similar ATS platforms.
  • Deep understanding of global remote workforce management, compliance and contractor arrangements.
  • Ability to engage confidently with technical stakeholders and screen engineering candidates effectively.
