Installation Supervisor – Iberia & South Africa (Based in Spain)

About the role

Vestas is seeking an Installation Supervisor to lead field teams and ensure high‑quality wind turbine installations across the Iberia and South Africa regions. Based in Madrid, you will work on‑site, coordinating contractors, subcontractors and client representatives to deliver safe and efficient project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee contractor activities and enforce Vestas safety, quality and procedural standards.
• Plan daily schedules, track deliverables and maintain records in SAP.
• Coordinate installation teams, service technicians, subcontractors and client contacts to keep work flowing smoothly.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and task briefings; manage work boards and QHSE documentation.
• Monitor quality, health, safety and environmental compliance and produce detailed reports.
• Approve timesheets, expenses, travel and leave requests for on‑site personnel.
• Participate in turbine work when required to support operational needs.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, Renewable Energy or Industrial Management Engineering.
• Post‑graduate studies such as a Master’s in Renewable Energy, HSE, Project Management or related fields are a plus.
• Fluent English (minimum C1 level).
• Willingness to travel frequently across Iberia and South Africa.
• Proven experience in construction or energy‑sector projects, preferably within wind energy or heavy‑machinery environments.
• Strong leadership and coordination abilities, comfortable working with clients, suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
