Integrated Geologist

About the role

BP America Prod Co (EP) is looking for an Integrated Geologist to apply advanced geological and geophysical techniques that support exploration and production. The role focuses on subsurface characterization, risk assessment, and optimisation of well delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and analyse geological and geophysical data, ensuring integrity and consistency.
• Develop depositional and stratigraphic frameworks to interpret subsurface architecture.
• Perform geohazard assessments and mitigate drilling risks.
• Conduct geomechanical and reservoir‑geomechanics studies to optimise well design and completions.
• Integrate geological and geophysical data for comprehensive interpretation, including petrophysical, seismic, lithology and static reservoir characterisation.
• Execute seismic interpretation (stratigraphic, structural and seismic‑stratigraphic).
• Identify and evaluate pore pressure and fracture gradient for safe drilling.
• Contribute geological expertise throughout the Integrated Well Delivery process.
• Assess subsurface uncertainty and quantify associated risks.
• Maintain accurate geodesy and coordinate integrity for all data and interpretations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in data management within upstream oil and gas.
• Demonstrated ability to develop depositional and stratigraphic framework models.
• Strong understanding of geodesy and coordinate integrity.
• Experience in geohazard assessment, geomechanical analysis and reservoir geomechanics.
• Familiarity with integrated well delivery processes and petrophysical static reservoir characterisation.
