Internship - Data & Analytics Consultant

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a business of Marsh, offers an internship as a consultant in its Data & Analytics division, based in Madrid. The internship is full time, lasts 8 to 24 weeks and runs either between June and July 2027 or from September to December 2027. The Data & Analytics team works across Europe and several industries such as Financial Services, Climate & Sustainability, Energy, Retail and Transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients at all levels to help them solve their most pressing challenges
• Design potential solutions for analytical challenges and implement prototypes while assessing their effectiveness
• Work on projects such as an NLP-based machine learning toolkit to predict credit rating downgrades, portfolio decarbonization modelling for large European banks, a promotion analytics toolkit, a GenAI chatbot validation, default and loss models in Python, supply chain risk analysis, a next-best-action model to reduce churn and more

Required profile

• Penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Data Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
• Data-driven mindset and ability to explain complex data science concepts clearly to clients and colleagues
• Fluent English, both spoken and written; fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is required
• Interest and experience in financial services and risk management is a plus

Required skills

• Ideally programming skills in Python or R
• Eagerness to keep extending knowledge of technologies
