About the role

The Bar Manager will oversee all bar operations within the hotel, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and profitability. Reporting to the hotel management, the role combines supervisory duties with inventory control and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise service across all hotel bars and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage cash handling, billing, bar set‑up, and physical inventory of beverages and supplies.
• Monitor beverage performance and control costs against budget.
• Prepare daily bar orders and verify deliveries against purchase vouchers.
• Collaborate on drink menu creation, propose new cocktails, and advise management on product selection.
• Report cleaning deficiencies to the housekeeper and suggest quality‑improvement measures.
• Conduct staff meetings, recommend sanctions or promotions, and participate in recruitment.
• Create work schedules, track absences, and communicate staffing changes.

Required profile

• Vocational training (medium or higher) in hospitality.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar bar‑management role.
• Fluent English; additional language (French or German) is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
