Jefe/a de restaurante – Hotel Valladolid

About the role

The Hotel Barceló in Valladolid is looking for a dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead its food‑and‑beverage operations. You will ensure high standards of service, hygiene and guest satisfaction while managing a team of waiters and sector heads.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise cleaning, preparation and maintenance of all equipment, utensils and service areas.
• Set up and clear tables, control the mise en place and ensure proper presentation.
• Oversee the work of sector heads and waitstaff, guaranteeing adherence to duties and hygiene standards.
• Welcome guests, accompany them to their tables and take orders when required.
• Promote and upsell menu items that align with company objectives.
• Conduct and supervise inventories of furniture, crockery, linen and supplies.
• Prepare purchase proposals, place orders and manage stock levels.
• Organise work shifts, hiring and termination processes for the team.
• Participate in billing, cash collection, reconciliation and reporting of any quality issues.

Required profile

• Vocational training (medium or higher) in Hospitality/Restaurant management or a degree in Tourism.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar supervisory role.
• High proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven capability to lead and motivate teams.
