Jigs and Tools Engineer for MDCD Production Support

About the role

Airbus Operations in Illescas is looking for a Jigs and Tools Engineer to support the production line of the A350F Main Deck Cargo Door (MDCD). The role is a 1‑year mission within the Manufacturing Engineering Tools Development Team, working closely with manufacturing, operations, health & safety, maintenance, and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide production support for the MDCD assembly line, including availability for a triple‑shift pattern.
• Support retrofit activities for the B1B cargo door test and the retrofit of MSN701.
• Design and specify tooling solutions in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Integrate J&T solutions into the industrial system through a robust acceptance process based on defined KPIs.
• Manage all tooling‑related plant activities for the MDCD assembly line.

Required profile

• Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering or related degree.
• Previous experience in tooling design.
• High adaptability to new topics and business environments.
• Willingness to travel across Europe.
• Fluent Spanish and advanced English.
