Junior Business Development Representative (Remote - EU)

About the role

Shift4 is looking for a proactive Junior Business Development professional to join its growing team. You will work remotely from Spain, the UK or Portugal, helping to expand the company’s footprint in the payments ecosystem by building and nurturing high‑value merchant and partner relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor for assigned accounts, maintaining strong relationships with key corporate contacts.
• Manage and optimise operational processes for partners and merchants within the Shift4 platform.
• Drive sales and business expansion, targeting partner collaborations and e‑commerce entities across designated verticals.
• Generate new business opportunities, lead the sales process, negotiate terms and close commercial agreements.
• Oversee onboarding and integration, coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth client transitions.
• Collaborate with business development on enterprise account challenges, opportunities and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of sales or business development experience selling online acquiring/payment services.
• Experience in a financial institution or online Payment Service Provider.
• Deep understanding of credit‑card acquisition and the broader online payments landscape.
• Proven ability to work in a global or multinational environment.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset and independent decision‑making.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
