Junior Cybersecurity Evaluator

About the role

Applus+ Laboratories is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join its IT & Cybersecurity laboratory. You will work on a variety of security evaluation projects, ranging from standard methodology assessments to custom, ad‑hoc tests for clients, while also contributing to internal R&D on new attack techniques and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge of customers' technological solutions and cybersecurity requirements.
• Perform security evaluations using frameworks such as LINCE, Common Criteria, and SESIP.
• Conduct ad‑hoc assessments tailored to client constraints.
• Collaborate with technology vendors to meet certification requirements.
• Identify and resolve challenges to ensure successful certification projects.
• Write technical reports and communicate findings to customers, testing laboratories, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in cybersecurity or related evaluations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Self‑starter attitude with a passion for professional growth and technology.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).

• Kali Linux tools suite
• UNIX‑based operating systems
• Network protocols and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Familiarity with security evaluation frameworks (LINCE, Common Criteria, SESIP)
