Junior Data Scientist – Transform Data into Insights

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our growing data team. You will turn large volumes of raw data into actionable insights, supporting cross‑functional teams in data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns and business opportunities.
• Develop, validate and optimise statistical and machine‑learning models.
• Apply advanced techniques such as multivariate statistics, predictive modelling and network analysis.
• Clean, transform and prepare both structured and unstructured data for analysis.
• Build reproducible analytical workflows using Python and/or R.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• Present findings through clear visualisations and written reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of methodologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or a related quantitative field (Master’s preferred).
• 1‑2 years of experience on analytical or data‑science projects.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods, predictive modelling and machine‑learning concepts.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Python and/or R programming.
• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Machine‑learning libraries such as Scikit‑learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) – nice to have.
• Big‑data technologies like Spark or Hadoop – nice to have.
• Data‑visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib) – nice to have.
• Version control with Git.
