Junior Software Engineer (all genders) – Spain

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our interdisciplinary teams in Spain. You will work on complex digitisation projects, collaborating with software engineers, UI/UX experts, agile coaches and product owners to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily scrums, customer reviews and retrospectives within an agile environment.
• Design and implement modular software architectures together with the team.
• Develop code iteratively and incrementally, adhering to high‑quality standards.
• Take ownership of tasks and work self‑organised within project teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable field.
• Practical experience from internships, work‑study programmes or personal projects.
• Fluent in German and English (minimum C1 level) for clear communication.
• Strong interest in AI‑assisted software engineering and willingness to apply tools such as Claude Code, Open Code or GitHub Copilot.

Required skills

• Proficient in at least one language: C#, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript or Rust.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Open Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Understanding of modern software development methods, unit testing, code reviews and clean‑code principles.
