Junior Vice President Corporate & Leveraged Finance

About the role

The Junior Vice President Corporate & Leveraged Finance will support leveraged and telecom finance activities across Spain and Portugal. The role combines deal execution, client coverage, portfolio monitoring and cross‑selling with other business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare internal credit documentation, including credit applications, financial models, rating assessments and PI calculations.
• Analyse public information, broker notes and due‑diligence reports to support transaction decisions.
• Negotiate and draft legal documentation such as term sheets, SFA, ICA, fee letters and commitment documents.
• Execute syndicated transactions, create marketing materials, manage investor Q&A and coordinate syndication workstreams.
• Monitor closed transactions, maintain dialogue with portfolio companies, track periodic financial information and prepare credit follow‑up processes.
• Engage with clients to discuss potential leveraged finance opportunities and generate business ideas.
• Liaise with Distribution, High Yield, M&A, Ratings and Derivatives teams to identify cross‑selling opportunities.
• Support other CLF products, including corporate acquisitions, high‑yield and ratings advisory.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering with strong academic results.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• 6‑7 years of experience in banking or advisory, focusing on structuring financing transactions or M&A.
• Deep knowledge of corporate acquisition structuring, Spanish/Portuguese mid‑cap and large corporates, and debt instruments (recourse and non‑recourse).
• Solid understanding of national and international economy, finance, accounting and tax principles.
• Strong analytical abilities, risk identification and credit analysis skills.
• Experience with legal regimes applicable to debt instruments and corporate acquisitions.
