As a technical subject matter expert, you provide troubleshooting guidance, drive resolution of complex fleet cases and perform deep-dive technical investigations, turning customer insights into preventive engineering improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a high-complexity caseload, giving rapid, accurate and practical troubleshooting guidance while keeping recommendations safe and aligned with fleet reliability standards.
  • Evaluate performance issues using deep knowledge of turbine subsystem behavior, conducting comprehensive technical reviews of cases.
  • Lead technical investigations into recurring fleet issues, including root cause analysis (RCA) and development of technical solutions.
  • Analyze fleet data to spot trends and proactively propose technical strategies or design improvements to prevent recurring issues.
  • Act as a technical bridge between site operations, product engineering and services teams, advising internal stakeholders on multi-disciplinary challenges.
  • Maintain high-quality technical documentation and give informal mentorship to peer engineers.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • High-level expertise in YAW systems, onshore and offshore mechanical engineering, turbine systems, fleet support or services engineering.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple complex technical issues independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Strong analytical and technical communication skills, able to explain complex mechanical phenomena to stakeholders and customers.
  • Preferred: advanced degree, hands-on experience with wind turbine fleet operations or field service engineering, and proficiency in reliability engineering and fleet performance analytics.

Required skills

  • Expert understanding of turbine subsystem behavior, performance monitoring and advanced troubleshooting methods.
  • Detailed T&Ts fleet track and trend-and-improvement (8Ds) for root cause analysis.
  • Ability to document technical standards, troubleshooting playbooks or engineering best practices (preferred).

Additional requirements: capacity to climb wind turbines and to travel more than 15% of the time. Relocation assistance is not provided.
