Legal Associate

About the role

The Legal Associate will join Ocean Winds' Headquarters Legal Team, providing comprehensive legal support across multiple business functions in a fast‑paced, international environment. The role offers exposure to complex transactions, strategic decision‑making, and collaboration with Business Development, Finance, Procurement, IT, People, and Innovation teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regular legal advice to HQ departments and occasional support to country/project teams.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, M&A documentation, bid structures, and partnership contracts.
• Identify and manage legal risks, delivering pragmatic, business‑oriented solutions.
• Handle claims, contentious matters, and coordinate external counsel with focus on quality, responsiveness, and cost control.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, share best practices, and conduct internal training as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, applicable laws, and support the Compliance Team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Law degree from a reputable university; Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience, preferably with exposure to M&A, project development, or project finance.
• Experience in a top‑tier international law firm or strong in‑house legal department.
• Background in renewable energy projects; offshore wind experience is a strong advantage.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken) and at least one additional language.
