Lobby Host/Hostess (July)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and proactive Lobby Host/Hostess to join the team at W Barcelona for the month of July. In this front‑of‑house position you will be the first point of contact for guests, helping them make the most of their stay and the hotel’s facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, offering genuine appreciation.
• Activate and promote lobby‑area outlets such as the restaurant, bar, business centre and lounge.
• Assist guests with special requests – transportation, reservations, dry‑cleaning, disability support – by coordinating with the appropriate departments.
• Provide local area knowledge, including events and attractions, to enhance the guest experience.
• Communicate guest needs to bell‑persons, housekeeping, food‑and‑beverage staff and other relevant teams.
• Handle telephone calls with professional etiquette and prepare written documents accurately.
• Report accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a guest‑facing hospitality role.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for an entire shift and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Commitment to quality‑assurance standards and teamwork.
