Luxury Travel Consultant – Bespoke Itineraries

About the role

Tailored Spain - Portugal is looking for a creative, commercially‑minded Luxury Travel Consultant to join its Production team in Aravaca, Madrid. Working hybrid (three days in the office, two days remote), you will design and manage high‑end, tailor‑made travel experiences across Spain and Portugal for international luxury travel advisors and their clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design imaginative, fully customised itineraries covering accommodation, private transport, guides, activities, dining and exclusive experiences.
• Prepare detailed, compelling proposals that match each client’s profile, preferences and budget.
• Communicate directly with international travel advisors, building long‑term professional relationships.
• Manage the full quotation and booking process from enquiry to final documentation.
• Negotiate with hotels, guides, transport providers and other local partners.
• Recommend upgrades, special experiences and added‑value services to enhance itineraries.
• Follow up on proposals with a focus on conversion and business development.
• Maintain accurate data in the company’s CRM and internal systems.
• Handle amendments, cancellations and unexpected issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless trip delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience designing and managing bespoke travel itineraries, preferably within a DMC, incoming travel agency or luxury travel company.
• Strong knowledge of Spain and Portugal’s geography, culture, hotels and luxury travel offerings.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
