M&A Senior Analyst / Junior Associate – Madrid

About the role

Join Haitong Bank's M&A team in Madrid as a Senior Analyst / Junior Associate. You will support new business generation and live deal execution, working closely with senior bankers on cross‑border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and reviewing marketing and transaction documents such as teasers, information memoranda, process letters, and management presentations.
• Support senior bankers in client meetings, deal negotiations, valuation, and transaction structuring.
• Develop financial models and conduct valuation analyses.
• Prepare high‑quality presentation materials in English and Spanish.
• Conduct research and analyses to generate new business opportunities.
• Participate in transaction diligence for buy‑side, sell‑side, and carve‑out deals and support transaction closing.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, private equity, valuation, or transaction advisory services.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and in a demanding environment.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken; Chinese proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Orbis, and Mergermarket.
• High‑level financial modelling and accounting knowledge.
